A Tutor is a teacher who has successfully completed an Unlocking the World Tutor Training Program. A Tutor receives a licence that allows them to deliver the corresponding Teacher Development Course within their school on a non-commercial basis and to purchase Course manuals. There is no limit to the number of Teacher Development Courses a Tutor can deliver.
Unlocking the World Tutor Training Programs are intensive 3–5 consecutive day train-the-trainer professional development programs for experienced teachers delivered in host schools around the world. The training is delivered by a highly qualified and experienced Tutor Training Consultant to small groups of up to 20 teachers. Successful graduates become licensed Tutors who can deliver the corresponding Teacher Development Course to other teachers.
Unlocking the World Teacher Development Courses are locally delivered by our Licensed Tutors. The course is usually delivered one module (2.5 to 3 hours) at a time over a term or semester to fit in with the heavy demands of classroom teaching and to allow teachers to complete the between module activities and readings. All courses are theoretically based but practically oriented and provide between 36–60 hours of high quality teacher professional development.
