Understanding Giftedness: Developing and implementing a policy
Gifted students, high achievers, underachievers how do we recognise them? What challenges do they present in the way we organise our schools? What strategies are available to classroom teachers to develop appropriate educational programs?
This book provides a framework for school communities which will assist them in ensuring that the learning outcomes of gifted students are commensurate with their ability and in particular, looks at:
- The knowledge and understanding that educators require to address the diverse cognitive, physical, social and emotional needs of gifted learners
